Confirm addresses before reservations
A business day in Istanbul starts with confirmed meeting locations. Ask for the building, entrance and start time as well as the district. If you must visit both the European and Asian sides in one day, treat them as two distinct parts of the programme. Distance on a map does not mean that every journey will take the same amount of time.
Group meetings by area
Arrange meetings on the same side together where possible. This reduces the need to cross between continents after every appointment. Leave a clear window for the crossing; do not count that window as preparation time for the next discussion. Agree in advance which meeting could move if an earlier appointment runs over.
Choose the hotel around the working day
For an overnight stay, a central address alone should not determine your hotel choice. Consider the first meeting and the following day’s departure together. If you need to work in the evening, review the room’s working area and connectivity. Compare cancellation and amendment conditions with your company’s travel policy before confirming.
Allow space around arrival and departure
Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport are on different sides of the city. Evaluate the complete programme when comparing flights: leaving the terminal, baggage, onward travel and time to prepare for the meeting. On departure, the interval between your final meeting and your flight also needs to cover more than the road journey. Build flexibility into the itinerary for congestion and changes.
Share one current itinerary
Keep flight, hotel, meeting and transfer details in a single document. The traveller, account contact and meeting organiser should all be able to access the current version. When an address or time changes, update this document first, then check the affected reservations. Agreeing the service scope with the KUNET team at the start helps everyone coordinate changes more clearly.
